Kawasaki Heavy Industries has opened a 13,000-square-metre production plant in Brazil that will produce Z750 and Ninja 250R sportbikes.
The plant is operated by Kawasaki Motores do Brasil. It was built at a cost of 8.2 million reals (nearly $5-million Cdn) and can produce 25,000 motorcycles a year.
Other models will also be built there.
The KMB plant is located in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. An opening was celebrated on Oct. 7.
