Honda has closed its U.S. motorcycle production line.

According to a news story on bloomberg.com, Honda had announced in February 2008 that it would close its motorcycle plant in Marysville, Ohio, by mid-2009 and move production back to Japan. The Ohio plant assembled Gold Wings and employed 300 people.

The company still operates auto plants at Marysville and other Ohio towns.

Honda’s motorcycle sales fell by 17 per cent in its last fiscal year.

In June, Ohio’s unemployment rate rose to 11 per cent.

  1. OK, we’ll re-bomb the japs who built a plant in the US but then we get to nuke the Harley plant and all the brain dead engineers there. And how about some Zyklon B for the neanderthals who ride them, too?
