Honda has closed its U.S. motorcycle production line.
According to a news story on bloomberg.com, Honda had announced in February 2008 that it would close its motorcycle plant in Marysville, Ohio, by mid-2009 and move production back to Japan. The Ohio plant assembled Gold Wings and employed 300 people.
The company still operates auto plants at Marysville and other Ohio towns.
Honda’s motorcycle sales fell by 17 per cent in its last fiscal year.
In June, Ohio’s unemployment rate rose to 11 per cent.
Sometimes I wonder if comments should even be allowed.
Sad to see this happen ,though.
