Buyer’s Guide Model Detail

Buyer's Guide > R1250 GS Adventure
Colours shown may not be available in Canada.
This is BMW's top touring bike, adding crash bars, a high-capacity fuel tank, and some different bodywork from the standard R1250 GS model. It's a heavy brute, and runs on a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear (tubeless spoked design), so it's not intended for the gnarliest of off-road terrain, although some very talented riders may end up taking it there anyway. The new Shiftcam engine means it should be more fuel efficient and make its power more efficiently now, with less emissions. If you've got the money, you can accessorize this bike to the max, with electronic suspension, hard luggage, and many other add-ons available.
