Buyer’s Guide Model Detail

The DS is Zero's version of a dual-sport machine. It uses the same 40 kW motor as the S model, as well as similar Showa fully adjustable suspension components, but with 20 mm more travel. It also uses a 19-inch front wheel for better bump absorption, and Pirelli MT60 tires, which are better suited for light off-pavement duties. However, cast wheels and a belt drive (both susceptible to rocks) limit the DS's true off road ability. Like most Zeros, you can pay more to get increased battery capacity: The ZF9.4 offers 9.4 kWh capacity with a city range of 167 Km. The ZF12.5 offers 12.5 kWh and a city range of 224 km (but with an additional 14 Kg of weight). And the ZF12.5 with 'Power Tank' (added battery pack to you and me) offers 15.3 kWh, a city range of 274 km but another 24 Kg of weight over the base model in the process.
