Another very close race this season started off the proceedings at the Motorland Aragon circuit in Spain.  Kawasaki Racing Team’s Johnathen Rea took victory in Race 1 this morning, after a terrific last lap battle with Ducati rider Chaz Davies. It was Rea’s fourth win this year.
After starting in pole position, Aprilia factory rider Leon Haslam and his teammate Jordi Torres spent most the race watching as Rea, his Kawasaki teammate Tom Sykes traded blows with Davies for the top three positions. The Aprilias finished 4th and 5th
