Some updates on CSC Motorcycles (AKA California Scooter Company). For starters they’ve changed their name, which makes sense as even the original mini-bike type machines that they imported were not actually scooters and the new RX3 Cyclone most definitely is not.
Secondly, they currently find themselves without a Canadian distributor though (somewhat optimistically I think) they reckon that Canada specific testing, distributor sign-up and dealer set-up will all be in place by early June 2015. Who knows? Maybe it will, which would be great, as that RX3 looks like a very interesting addition to the adventure motorcycle market.
We’ll update you on how all this transpires as soon as we get the thumbs up from CSC.
Are you sure it is the same bike? I remember the influx of (poor quality) Chinese bikes we had that year, but I don’t think any of them were from this company.
Interested to know what those glaring issues were rocketman as we’ve just taken delivery of a 2015 RX3 to evaluate here in New Zealand. A good opportunity to see whether or not they’ve been resolved.
Europe has it but the names different due to 2 different importers over there. 15 000 K ride report about them says Bearings are an issue. Water problems with wring and Fuel injection issues . Made by one of the bigger china motorcycle makers. Lets call it what it is. 1980 endro style bike . Will need weekly upkeep. At 4 grand why would I not find a use KLR 250 or 650 that’s being already convert to ADV? I feel it can’t compete to older Japan bikes .
I looked at a version of these bikes at the Vancouver motorcycle show a few years ago. There were some glaring issues that warned me that the manufacturer did not have it figured out at that time. I hope that has changed.
Money waiting in the bank for a orange one.
This is the sound of me not holding my breath…
