Following the unveiling of the R 18 Concept at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event on the shores of Lake Como last May, BMW Motorrad will unveil the production cruiser today via Facebook Live and their YouTube channel.
Based on the photos released thus far, it appears BMW Motorrad has been working on a heavyweight cruiser to take on the likes of Harley-Davidson and Indian. Incorporating a classic BMW aesthetic, it will make use of an 1,800cc oil- and air-cooled boxer engine. It also promises to use technology previously not seen on a production motorcycle.
