The CMG Video Chat: Yamaha’s new bikes

At February’s Toronto Motorcycle Show, Editor Mark collared Graeme Jones of Yamaha Canada to ask about the new model bikes that we’ll this year.

We just happened to have a video camera handy, so watch Mark (try to) suck in his gut and ask the tough questions: Do I want to buy the 2021 700 Tenere over the competition just because it’s cheaper?  Is the MT-03 Yamaha’s smallest, cheapest and least powerful bike? Why would I want to ride the road-legal R1M on the road?

All the answers are on the video here. And come back this week for chats with Harley, Kawasaki and Triumph, and what we thought of the show itself.

  1. I just wanted to say thank you to the CMG staff. As isolation becomes more the norm in Ontario you are providing us with a welcome distraction . Allows us to focus on our passion and look forward to the riding season ahead . Media like CMG and other dedicated motorcycle web sites will help the riding community through this difficult period. Please keep it up.

  2. I think there is a place in Yamaha’s line up for the 250 Tenerè that is sold in other markets. There is also a tubeless rear wheel in some markets for the Serow that should be on the bike as well.

    • Priced right; the smaller bikes are selling & the aftermarket is churning out hundreds if not thousands of parts/accessories & go fast bits for reasonable prices. I have a pair of heavily accessorized Honda GROMs
