The GOAT is back. Canadian Kawasaki Motors says they are bringing back hall-of-famer Jordan Szoke for 2025, signing the winningest racer in Canadian Superbike pro racing history for another go at the championship.
Szoke has 14 CSBK championships to his name over the years. He has not won the Pro Superbike title since 2020, when he took it over a four-race series. He was third overall in the Pro Superbike category in 2021, and had to sit out 2022 due to a devastating pre-season injury. In 2023, he returned from his injuries to bag fourth overall on the season. In 2024, he was third overall, but did not win any races. His highest results were third-place finishes at Grand Bend, Shannonville and Shubenacadie.
Along with Kawasaki, Importations Thibault is also backing his Waznie Racing Ninja ZX-10RR for 2025. And despite his difficult seasons in 2023 and 2024, Szoke says he figures the new machine and his improved conditioning will play in his favor this year:
“I am really excited for this year in so many ways. My training and health are so much better. The big bonus is that we will have the Ninja ZX-10RR this year which has the [Pankl titanium] rods and pistons. Between the electronics, the engine parts, the extra weight we shaved off the bike, and my health and training, I feel we can win.”
Kawasaki has also invested into sponsoring Connor Campbell for 2025, who’s also backed by B&T MacFarlane. Last season’s Rookie Of The Year said “We are looking forward to battling near the front after a tough first season in the Superbike class. We have the right set up going into 2025 and we are looking forward to it!” He’s on a ZX-10R for 2025.
Kawasaki is also sponsoring Mack Weil aboard a ZX-6R in Pro Sportbike, after he won the ZX-4RR championship in 2024. Overall, Kawasaki has posted $150,000 in contingency prizes across CSBK’s classes this year.
Go Jordan Go!
