The Toronto Motorcycle Show will open tomorrow, running Friday-Sunday in its usual spot down near the waterfront.
The show doors open at the Enercare Centre at 11 AM Friday, closing at 8 PM on the first day. On Saturday, the show runs 10 AM-7 PM. On Sunday, the show is open 10 AM-5 PM.
What to expect this year? It’s basically the same thing we saw last year, with the Moto Craft section . The ExPLR Zone adventure bike section appears to be back, though, with speakers presenting their perspective on ADV riding throughout the weekend. Friday night (Valentine’s Day) is She Rides night, with discounts at the door on tickets for females (starting at 5 PM). There’s also a bike giveaway on Friday.
The Stacyc electric bike demo section returns as well as the trusty old Yamaha Riding Academy, where kids aged 6-12 can get a lesson in riding aboard small-cc Yamaha dirt bikes. A Moto Intro program provides a similar experience for adults. There’s a Harley Stunt Show, an exhibit of custom bikes, and if you’re looking for new gear, there are retailers on site including Riders Choice, celebrating their 20th anniversary by offering $20 off a purchase of $200 or more.
Finally: Jordan Strachan, who was the only Canadian competitor at the Dakar Rally this year (the only Canuck who’s raced there in a while) will be at the Kove Canada booth, repping the brand he rode.
For tickets, check out the show’s online portal here. Of course you can also buy them at the door, but you generally spend more that way.
It’s a shame Kawi and Suzi blew it off. It’s why I didn’t go. Too hard to get to from out of town and expensive transit. Perhaps they could move it to the Intl Ctr where all the highways meet.
It’s awesome to see the return of the ExPLR Zone and the Yamaha Riding Academy for the kids.
Great way to get the next generation into riding!
The Toronto Motorcycle Show always delivers a great mix of new bikes, gear, and riding experiences.
