New Factory Custom Program? Royal Enfield Launches Limited Edition Shotgun 650

Harley-Davidson and more recently Triumph have made a bajillion dollars off their respective factory custom programs, and now it looks like Royal Enfield wants a piece of that action.

Working together with protective gear maker ICON Motorsports, Royal Enfield is launching a limited-production series of the Shotgun 650 cruiser, based on ICON’s Always Something custom bike (see that project here). ICON’s bike exhibited at EICMA last fall as well as the Motoverse show, and apparently there was enough interest that Royal Enfield has decided to build a 100-strong production run based on its design.

Here’s the custom bike that ICON built, which inspired the RE production run. PHOTO CREDIT: ICON

That means you get:

  • A 3-tone colorway of race-inspired graphics

  • Gold contrast cut rims

  • Blue colour shock springs

  • A red seat with integrated logo

  • Bar-end mirrors.

And Royal Enfield will also throw in a Slabtown Intercept RE jacket, designed by Icon, made of suede and textile with special patches and embroidery. The idea is that this will make it all more appealing to collectors.

Impress your friends with your matching jacket. Hope they’ve got it in your size! PHOTO CREDIT: Royal Enfield

If you actually want to get one of these bikes for yourself, here’s how Royal Enfield says the sale process will work:

Royal Enfield will offer only 100 units of these limited edition Shotgun 650 to enthusiasts globally. Beginning February 6, 2025, customers in the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico can register to purchase one of the motorcycles at www.royalenfield.com/us/en/shotgun-icon-edition/. The exclusive drop will go live on February 12, 2025, at 7:00am PST / 10:00am EST, and the first 25 customers to book in the Americas will ride home the limited edition Shotgun 650.

There are more details on the purchase process at Royal Enfield’s website here.

  1. I’m absolutely certain that psychoactive drugs were outlawed in the 1960’s by the Federal Government. Somehow, the “designer” of this moto-abortion got this POS green-lit. This is
    really an unbelievable something…
