BMW has listed a series of machines returning for 2023, and at this point, there are no major changes announced for next season.
Instead we see mostly a bunch of paint changes; new options in, some older schemes out. And, the tire pressure monitoring system that was previously optional on several models is now standard with the Comfort package on some models … and … that’s pretty much it. Seriously.
In BMW Motorrad’s global press release (see below), BMW does announced the 40 Years’ edition of the GS series is now replaced with the Trophy model. This bike comes with “Gravity blue metallic with Cross-spoke wheels, Rally seat, Sport windshield, radiator protectors, frame protectors, Enduro footrests and more.” A few bolt-on upgrades for off-road protection, then, commemorating the return of the GS Trophy series, but it doesn’t sound like anything too major. Guess we’re still waiting for the M-series GS!
Although there are no major changes listed to the returning models at this point, there’s still the possibility we may see further updates listed at Intermot, though—or maybe even brand-new models. Or, maybe BMW is like every other OEM right now, trying to make bikes with supply chain issues all around, not to mention worldwide financial woes on the horizon. Could you blame them, if they decided to take next season cautiously?
