Find adventure with Royal Enfield (through the magic of YouTube)

Royal Enfield seems keen to push its updated Himalayan these days. Along with the trip to the South Pole that we told you about back in October, the company’s YouTube channel is filling up with other adventures, some of them hard-core and some more relaxed.

For instance, here’s the story of KS Jones, an overlanding pioneer who took his two-stroke 225 cc Royal Enfield Model A over 15 countries through Africa and Asia in 1933.

Then, if you fancy a more modern tale, how about this trip to the highest roads of the world, in 2019?

Too much? The company’s North American YouTube channel is showing this short film these days, with a group of Royal Enfield riders scrambling up to Alaska:

Cool. Is Royal Enfield doubling down on marketing for its adventure bikes because it simply wants to boost sales for existing models, or is there something else going on? Is the company trying to build hype for the reportedly incoming 650 Himalayan? Is Royal Enfield trying to stake its claim in a post-COVID moto-travel boom?

Whatever the strategy, we’ll need more Canadian dealers, as Royal Enfield’s existing network is pretty sparse at the moment.
