2022 Husqvarna Norden 901 breaks cover

First shown as a concept at the 2019 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy, Husqvarna Motorcycles has announced that the 2022 Norden 901 will start hitting dealer floors in North America as early as next month starting at $15,199.

Inspired by Husqvarna Motorcycles’ Factory Rally machines, the Norden 901 was designed to be fast, fun, and capable, with the ability to ride longer and in greater comfort both on-road and off. Powered by an 899 cc parallel-twin engine featuring dual balancer shafts to minimize vibration, the engine is a stressed member of the chassis that resides within a light steel trellis frame. WP APEX suspension offers 220 mm travel. Spoked wheels wrapped in tubeless Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR rubber measure 21-inches in the front and 18-inches in the rear.

The Norden 901’s braking system is backed up by switchable Bosch Cornering ABS with both Street and Off-road modes and features lean-angle sensitive Cornering Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC).

Three selectable ride modes come standard (Street, Rain, Offroad) with the option of an additional Explorer mode. The Easy Shift function allows for clutch-free shifts both up and down through the six-speed gearbox, while a ride-by-wire throttle and Power Assist Slipper Clutch (PASC) provide added control.

A large capacity 19 L fuel tank provides an extended range of up to 400 km. An optional Connectivity Unit provides turn-by-turn navigation, telephone functions, and music selection through the rider’s smartphone. An optional Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles app for Android and iOS allows for access to communications and music via Bluetooth, controlled by the handlebar-mounted mode switch. The Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles app also provides route planning and turn-by-turn navigation with visual guidance transmitted via Bluetooth from the app to the TFT screen.
