Report: Sault Ste. Marie has (had?) a motorcycle vigilante

SooToday posted this screengrab from the Coyote Moto videos, and that's all we have to show of this Ontario-based vigilante at this point.

Move over, Angle Grinder Man: There’s supposedly a new motorcycle-riding vigilante rising to notoriety, in Sault Ste. Marie (of all places!).

Over the past few days, SooToday has been reporting on the adventures of Coyote Moto a local YouTube poster. SooToday says the Coyote Moto channel has been posting vigilante-style content for more than a year, with the uploader filming himself riding around the Sault Ste. Marie area and confronting individuals he suspects are criminals, often over bicycles he suspects are stolen.

Here’s how SooToday describes what was going on:

The videos show Coyote sometimes demanding the items be turned over to him, sometimes threatening physical violence if he ever sees them with stolen goods.

His commentaries during his adventures are often riddled with expletives.”

Now, we have to take SooToday’s word for it, because these YouTube videos have now been removed. A later, updated article from SooToday says “All links to his controversial videos previously accessed by SooToday are now overwritten ‘This video has been removed by the uploader’ and are no longer accessible to the public.”

So, no evidence of the alleged vigilante activity, then.

SooToday did contact local police, though, and Sault Ste. Marie’s local PD confirms it is investigating the adventures of Coyote Moto. And, because it’s investigating the videos, it can’t say anything—read the police statement in the article here.

The only Coyote Moto content easily found on YouTube right now is here, and since that video seems to come from New Jersey, it’s irrelevant.

This article is irrelevant. A squid on a mini-bike gets stopped by a cop and let go – this is earth shattering news ?
