The Canadian Superbike season will wrap up at Calabogie this weekend, with two Pro Sport Bike races and two Pro Superbike races, along with the usual complement of support classes and regional Pro 6 GP races. And, in CSBK, almost every series is still mathematically up for grabs.
Looking at the standings, you can see rookie Alex Dumas is leading Pro Superbike, but a bit of bad luck could leave him watching trackside while Ben Young or Jordan Szoke rode to take the title. Dumas’ experience in the US is serving him very well in his first season in Canada, but he’s not guaranteed anything yet. This series is wide-open.
In Pro Sport Bike, Sebastien Tremblay has a big 46-point lead. With two races to go this weekend, he should be good to take the championship, but he’s been robbed by bad luck before. In previous years, he’s been taken out by other wayward riders; hopefully he can at least dodge those not-his-fault problems this weekend.
In the amateur classes, only Amateur Sport Bike is decided, with Brad Macrea taking the title. The Lightweight class will probably go to Mackenzie Weil, who sits on a 77-point lead, but Jacob Black (former CMG big boss) is still within mathematical striking distance, sitting in second.
