KTM says its bikes are Ready to Race—it’s the company’s slogan. But, with the case of the new KTM 350 EXC-F Factory Edition, maybe that slogan should be changed to Really Ready to Race, because that’s what this bike is—an EXC-F 350 that’s been updated with performance parts.
The biggest upgrade is the WP suspension; up front, there’s XACT air forks, with 30-way adjustment on the clickers, and 300 mm of travel. In back, there’s an XPLOR shock, with progressive damping—no need for suspension linkage here! The rear shock has 310 mm of travel.
KTM also put an OEM skid plate on this bike, along with a front brake guard. There’s a guard on the radiator as well, and KTM also included a radiator fan as standard equipment (it’s an option on many dirt bikes).
The 350 cc DOHC single-cylinder makes roughly 45 horsepower; far as we can tell, there are no tuning upgrades over the stock engine. However, KTM does say buyers can opt for a handlebar-mounted map selector switch, and a traction control selector switch.
Brembo supplies the brakes, as well as the hydraulic clutch system. The rear sprocket is a Supersprox Stealth, and KTM includes an X-ring chain as standard equipment.
As usual with its higher-spec bikes, KTM gives the Factory Edition a set of flashy graphics and anodized billet bits.
Expect the Factory Edition to arrive in Canada sometime before the 2022 riding season begins, in very limited quantities. Canadian pricing, as far as we know, is still not set.
