Kymco Canada readies for a comeback

It’s been a couple of years since we’ve seen much activity over at Kymco Canada’s website, ever since the good people at BECO stopped distributing the brand. Now, Kymco seems to once again be keen on the Canadian market, with a new postings on its website and Facebook page.

Kymco recently posted this to its Canadian website: “Kymco is back in Canada! Take a look at our range of ATVs and Side-by-Sides, more models coming in 2022.” An image posted to its Facebook page (see it above) seems to say we’ll get new scoots coming this summer.

That’s good news for scooter enthusiasts, as Kymco has generally offered good performance and quality for reasonable money over the years. When BECO Motor International was responsible for the brand in Canada, Kymco also served as sponsor for the Mad Bastard Scooter Rally, which may have been the most CMG thing ever.

However—note that the Kymco website only talks about and shows ATVs at this point, with no 2021 scooters listed. The scooter market has definitely been tapering off in Canada in recent years, and perhaps Kymco’s decided just to leave it entirely? We’ll let you know if we here anything else about it.
