Today, the Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival launches its video-on-demand service

Did you cancel your plans for a weekend bike ride, because of crappy weather? Fear not, you don’t have to sit around and listlessly look out the window, like those Narcos memes. Noooooo, you can instead plant your butt on your couch, and greedily devour moto-movies!

The Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival just launched its video-on-demand service, with a wide range of features and short films about custom bikes, racing, adventure riding, and more. You can see the whole list here:

We’ve been hearing about the TMFF’s video-on-demand service for a while now; festival organizer Caius Tenche bills the new VOD service as sort of a “Netflix for motorcycles.” The films for virtual rent are a collection of newly-added titles, and others that have already been featured at a previous version of the festival

How do you get started watching? The TMFF press release email says, “If you watched movies online at TMFF 2020, you’re all set and ready to go. If this is something new to you, getting to the films is easy.

  • Browse the film collection and select the title you’d like to rent.
  • Feature films start at $6.99+tax and shorts at $3.99+tax. You’ll also find a collection of free films.
  • Enter your payment information.
  • You’re ready to go! You’ll have five days to start watching and once you begin, you’ll have 48 hours to finish watching. During this period, you can watch it as often as you like.

More information, including system requirements, is here. The email also says that since April 21 is National Canadian Film Day, the TMFF will screen How to Be Deadly for free, followed up with live Q&A with director Nik Sexton (producer of The Rick Mercer Report).
