Models Involved: 2016-2018 Ducati X-Diavel, X-Diavel S
Number of Vehicles: 308
Issue: On certain motorcycles, the side stand may break. If this happens, the motorcycle could fall over while it is parked.
Safety Risk: A motorcycle that falls over could create a risk of injury to nearby people.
Corrective Actions: Ducati will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the side stand, side stand bracket and locking plate.
First centre stands go, then side….. Honda was working on a self standing gyro thingie a while back.
I’ve heard this issue was happening in dealerships years ago??? Has it not been corrected or is it poor quality control?
