The Moto Social plans a new digital platform

The Moto Social is planning a new digital platform that will allow riders from all over the world to connect, not just motorcyclists in a specific city.

Most Toronto-area riders are aware of The Moto Social at some level, even if they’re not regular attendees. The Moto Social started in the GTA as regularly-scheduled meetups for motorcyclists, based out of interesting eateries and coffee houses. From the GTA, the idea spread across Canada, then around the world. Now, there are Moto Social meetups in more than 20 cities.

Or at least, that was true before COVID-19 hit. With in-person social gatherings shut down around most of the world, nobody’s really able to do the same sort of meetups as before. So, organizers are looking at a new digital alternative.

The Moto Social Facebook page had this note, earlier this week: “We’re bringing The Moto Social ONLINE, to help the motorcycle community around the world socialize and connect again while we can’t really do it in person. Well be using a new platform that lets you chat freely and connect with others almost as if you were at The Moto Social IRL. It’s unlike anything you’ve experienced before.
.
Since these events will focus on helping our entire global community living in various time’s zones all connect at one epic event, we need a bit of community input to help us decide on the best time and day to host it. We appreciate you friends! Thanks for your time and input! This is going to epic! We can’t wait to see you and for you to meet moto pals in The Moto Social community in other parts of the world! More deets coming soon.

As the post says, organizers are looking for some input on how to arrange meetup times and other details for the new digital social platform. There’s a poll embedded in the Facebook page, so if you want your say, head there and vote.

Otherwise, stay tuned—we’ll let you know more about the plan we’ve learned what’s what.
