Yamaha recall

Recall #: 2020-571
Models Involved: 2016-2020 Yamaha FJR1300
Number of Vehicles: 976
Issue: On certain motorcycles, the second gear in the transmission could break. If this happens, the transmission could jam and cause a sudden lock up of the rear wheel.
Safety Risk: A rear wheel that locks suddenly could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions: Yamaha will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the transmission assembly with one that has an updated design and reprogram the electronic control unit (ECU).

Engine says Made in Japan , I’m not sure how reliable its going to be after put together some dealership and if I ever going to have my confidence on the bike, especialy when there’s the engine involved.
A bike with 2000 km in it, now going to have a semi rebuild engine. So far non of the other brands had a recall like this.
Not sure what to do get it fixed or sell it after

    • Rechecked my VIN – and yes my bike now shows as being included in the M071 (Transmission modification) and M073 (Brake switch replacement) recalls.
