We’ve been providing ongoing updates on Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor’s Long Way Up television series, including the announcement that the program will stream on Apple TV+ rather than on the BBC. Now we finally get to see the official trailer for the first three episodes of the 11-part series that will premiere on Friday, September 18th. The next eight episodes will roll out weekly each Friday. Following the previous two installments called Long Way Round and Long Way Down which covered a round-the-world trip and a London-to-Cape-Town aboard BMWs, Long Way Up follows McGregor and Boorman as they travel from the bottom of South America to California riding a pair of Harley-Davidson LiveWire electric motorcycles.
The trailer for the new Apple Original series Long Way Up starring Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman is now available. Reunited after more than a decade since their last expedition, this adventure sees the two cover 13,000 miles from the tip of South America to Los Angeles over 100 days. Making things even more challenging, this time their mode of transportation is a pair of modified Harley-Davidson LiveWire electric motorcycles. The trip involved 16 border crossings through 13 different countries.
They are running out of directions to go. Up, down, around, next one will have to be Long Way Diagonal. Start in Alaska, end in South Africa.
I’m mostly interested in this one to see the differences with electric bikes.
Beyond the inevitable yet to come Harley propaganda my biggest concern is the UNICEF T- shirts evident. The trying to blend with the cultures and do good deeds every 200 miles is what ruined Long Way Down.
