The impact of COVID-19 knows no bounds. The virus has claimed another casualty in the loss of title sponsorship for Canadian Superbike Champion Jordan Szoke after seven seasons.

Looking forward to his second season back with Kawasaki, supported by Mopar Express Lane and Blackfoot Motosport, Szoke was informed of the decision while in the process of planning the 2020 livery of his Ninja ZX10R. The 13-time champion took to social media to explain the change for the 2020 season, which also happens to be the 40th anniversary of Canadian Superbike National Racing.

Szoke dropped by Mopar after seven seasons of sponsorship.

“My boss Jon Camilleri called me with the bad news,” Szoke wrote on Instagram, as well as his personal blog. “I consider the entire team over at Chrysler Canada my friends, and hope that when this turns around you will see us riding the Mopar “M” again.”

Details of the 2020 Canadian Superbike Championship amid the ever-changing landscape of the COVID19 pandemic have yet to emerge, however the season opener is currently still slated to begin May 22nd in Shannonville, ON.
