ICBC is suspending road testing, including riding tests

British Columbia’s public insurer has announced it’s suspending its road testing program, due to worries over COVID-19.

According to ICBC’s press release, “All motorcycle, passenger, and commercial road tests are cancelled until further notice.” Although there’s no solid timeline for a return to normal, the presser did say “ICBC will reassess the situation in two weeks, taking into account public health recommendations and other operational considerations at that time.”

Otherwise, ICBC is asking people to pay tickets and fines online, and to stay away from their offices if they’ve travelled out-of-country recently. It’s contacting people who’ve already set up driving/riding tests, and getting them rescheduled.
