It’s just what people expected, sadly: In the face of the city of Austin, Texas, declaring a state of disaster due to the current coronavirus outbreak, the opening round of MotoGP has been postponed.
Racers were supposed to be lining up on the MotoGP grid April 3-5, with this being the first race of the year for the GP class (Moto2 and Moto3 started their season last weekend in Qatar, but the GP class wasn’t able to race due to COVID-19 travel restrictions).
Now, MotoGP’s announced the race will go ahead on November 13-15, and that means the Valencia race will be held November 20-22. Stay tuned, because we’re sure there are more cancellations to come in MotoGP, World Superbike, World Endurance, rally raid racing, and anything else with a trans-national focus.
