Ducati appears ready to continue expanding its V4 program, with the CEO telling MCN there’s a Superleggera coming.
Claudio Domenicali told the British publication the new machine is going to be coming in 2020, that it will be limited to 500 bikes produced, and that the bike’s equipment is going to be “dramatic.”
MCN also has spy photos that supposedly show the new bike (see ’em here). It’s got a healthy application of carbon-fibre (new subframe, bodywork, wheels, titanium exhaust and Öhlins NPX 25-30 forks and fully-adjustable TTX36 rear shock.
Where would the Superleggara fit into the lineup? There’s already a World Superbike-spec Panigale V4 R, but that engine has less capacity, to fit into WSB rules. So, the Superleggara is likely a mix of the regular V4 model and the R model.
