Moto Guzzi V85 TT Travel puts the focus on touring

The Moto Guzzi V85 TT was one of the most popular bikes at last year’s EICMA show, and for that reason, there’s a follow-up this year.

The V85 TT Travel is more or less the same motorcycle; engine and frame seem to be more or less the same, and overall, it looks like the existing V85 models at first glance. Then you see the differences. The Travel has a much bigger windscreen, sleeker panniers and a set of LED spotlights. Those new panniers have just over 65 litres of capacity. That paint job is specific to the Travel version as well.

Otherwise, there’s basically the same package that Guzzi already offered: 853 air/oil-cooled V-twin, shaft drive, 23-litre fuel tank, cruise control, centrestand and so on. When you’re a smaller OEM, it’s best to keep things simple and uncomplicated, and Guzzi appears to be doing just that.

We have not seen Canadian pricing or availability for this new model yet. However, Moto Guzzi is pretty good about bringing its lineup into our market, so we’d expect it for 2020.
