Ducati Streetfighter V4 officially announced

There have been rumours of a Ducati Streetfighter V4 model for a while, but now those rumours have been confirmed, and the bike’s first appearance will be at the 2019 Pikes Peak International Hillclimb

At its core, the Streetfighter V4 is a stripped-down Panigale V4. The tank and tail-section are the same, but it’s missing that full fairing, and the handlebars are changed. There is still some minimized bodywork on the machine, including winglets.

Carlin Dunne will race this machine at Pikes Peak.

The engine is the same basic 1103 cc V4 that the Panigale gets, but as is usual with these bikes, it’ll be retuned for use in the Streetfighter V4. Read: Less high-end horsepower, more mid-range torque.

Oh, and in case you wondered, this machine, is still a prototype, which explains the dazzle camo paint job. Expect a production version to debut at EICMA this year.
