Dan Kruger re-signs with Kawasaki Hong Kong

Dan Kruger piloted a Kawasaki superbike over in China, and has re-upped with Team Green again for next year.

Canadian ex-pat roadracer Dan Kruger has signed for another season with Kawasaki Hong Kong.

That means Kruger’s back in business in the Chinese Superbike Championship for 2019 (it’s only a one-year contract). His team is also working on bringing in an American crew chief/electronics guru to travel to race rounds for bike setup, and of course, Kruger will be on the latest/greatest version of the Kawasaki ZX-10RR for next season.

The race season itself will have a couple of pre-season tests, and then racing runs March-September. Kruger finished second overall last season, behind Ducati factory rider Michele Pirro. This year, he’s hoping to muscle his way to the front. And, that muscling will hopefully be a little easier, with Kruger getting a bunch of medical tinkering in the off-season, including arm pump surgery and a removal of some scar tissue from his wrist. Will this surgery make him better than he was before? Better … stronger … faster? That is indeed the six million dollar question, and we’ll get an idea of the answer when he tackles his first endurance race of the year in China, on January 5.
