Triumph Street Twin updated for next season

Triumph’s Street Twin is going to see some changes for 2019, including new front brake and updated engine.

The engine sees the same updates as the Street Scrambler: new cam, new balancer shafts, new clutch and other lightened internals. Like the Street Scrambler, max power is now 64 hp and max torque is 59 lb-ft. The engine now revs all the way to 7,500 rpm (up from 7,000 rpm). There are some new magnesium bits in the covers to dress it up.

There are Rain and Road riding modes and switchable traction control. The two-pot Nissin front brake caliper is replaced with a four-pot Brembo unit, and there are new cast wheels. The aesthetics get some minor tweaks—new seat cover, new headlight finish, new decals.

Dry weight is 198 kg, and tank capacity is 12 litres.

We’ll know the Street Twin’s Canadian pricing in November. Expect it here for the 2019 riding season.
