Triumph Street Scrambler: More power for 2019

Triumph’s Street Scrambler looks pretty much the same for 2019, but don’t be deceived: there’s plenty to get excited about.

The Street Scrambler sees a 10 hp boost for 2019, taking it to 64 hp. The power gains come from a revised camshaft and and balancer, which make for a 7,500 rpm red line, up 1,500 rpm from the outgoing machine. There’s also a new clutch. Max torque is 59 lb-ft.

Other changes include new Road and Rain riding modes and a new four-piston front brake caliper, courtesy of Brembo. Dry weight is now 198 kg. Seat height is 760 mm.

There have been some changes to the aesthetics (new seat covering, redesigned decals and gauges), but most of the bodywork looks very similar to the previous machine.

We’d expect the Street Scrambler in Canada for next riding season, although we haven’t seen an MSRP yet (that’s coming in November).
