Racing Roundup: Mike Scott makes it to the finals

For the most part, Canada’s ex-pat racers had the weekend off, with the Pan Delta series quiet, MotoAmerica on a break and the Spanish CEV series also taking time off.

However, the National Hot Rod Association was busy at the Northwest Nationals in Washington (the state, not the city), and Alberta’s Mike Scott was there aboard his Nitro Harley. Scott had much better results than his outing in New Hampshire, and made it all the way to the finals, facing off against Tii Tharpe.

Tharpe got the win, though, beating Scott with a 6.318 quarter-mile, with a 225.30 mph speed. Scott ran a 6.453 quarter, with a 209.07 mph speed. It was Scott’s second runner-up finish in NHRA; he’s also got one career win in that series.
