Suzuka 8-Hour runs this weekend

Michael Van der Mark hustles around Suzuka.

The Suzuka 8-Hour, the final event in the FIM’s World Endurance championship, runs this weekend in Japan (July 29), and if you’re a clever clogs, you might be able to figure out how to see it online. Otherwise, you can see the highlights on Velocity.

Eurosport is showing the entire race on its website, so if you’re smart enough to figure out how to access that feed, it’s there for the watching.

Velocity (check your local cable/satellite listings for channel number) is supposed to show a 44-minute summary of the race at some point, but as the channel’s Canadian website seems to be encountering technical difficulties, we can’t tell you when. Keep an eye on the channel guide?

The provisional entry list for the Suzuka is here. As of the 21st of July, 64 teams were entered, featuring mostly Japanese riders, but also some Brits, some French riders, assorted other Euro racers, some Aussies and some Americans. No Canadians are entered this year. F.C.C. TSR Honda France is the leading team going in this weekend, with 146 points, followed by GMT Yamaha with 136 points and Honda Endurance Racing with 109 points.
