Rally Raid builds ADV kit for BMW G310 GS

The BMW G310 GS has very competitive pricing. That might work against it, if dealers decide the sales margins aren't high enough.

Rally Raid Products is building an adventure upgrade kit for the BMW G310 GS which should make the bikes better-suited for off-road action.

Rally Raid Products is a UK company that builds parts to beef up adventure bikes (available in North America through Giant Loop). While it makes parts for proper off-road machines like the Honda Africa Twin and KTM 690 Enduro, it’s well-known for its upgrades for the Honda CB500X and NC750X, pieces that take these machines from soft ADV pretenders to moderately capable off-roaders.

Now, Rally Raid is doing the same for the G310 GS.

The G310 GS is one of the most interesting of the new crop of small-bore adventure bikes that’s hit the market in the past couple years, but BMW doesn’t pretend it’s as suitable for the dirt as the F850 GS or R1200 GS, partly because it shares so many parts with the G310 R naked bike.

Rally Raid now offers radiator guards, replacement rear shock (or a preload adjuster for the stocker), a headlight protector, a tail-section tidying kit, a fat handlebar adapter, an adapter for Double Take mirrors and more.

What isn’t offered: spoked wheels. The spoked wheels were one of the keys to the success of the CB500X kit, as they were much more rugged and better-suited for bouncing off rocks and logs. Hopefully these will be added to the product lineup soon, as well as some sort of front suspension upgrade.
