Tomorrow (Saturday, March 17), you can watch the Daytona 200 for free online on FansChoice.tv.
This year is the 77th running of the Daytona 200, which is once again organized by the American SportBike Racing Association (ASRA) instead of the AMA, which ran it for many years. ASRA’s involvement means that once again, the race is a supersport-class event (600 cc), not a full-blown superbike challenge like it was for decades.
Canadians roadracers have a long history of doing well at the 200, but this year, the race is low on CanCon. Darren James appeared on the list of pre-entered riders, and Facebook seemed to hint he was racing there again this year, but he hasn’t appeared on the FP1 timesheet yet.
So far, Michael Barnes seems to be the man to beat this year, leading after the FP1 session.
