Here’s what Norton is working on these days

The revived Norton marque has been busy in recent months, and their latest project takes the brand in an interesting new direction.

Now, Norton is working on a street tracker/scrambler powered by a  650 cc parallel twin. But wait, you say—wasn’t this 650 twin project supposed to be a sport bike? Supposedly, Norton plans to supercharge this motor and build a sportbike around it in the future.

Norton is reportedly planning a couple permutations of this scrambleresque platform, one with an 18-inch front wheel (a street tracker?) and one with a 19-inch (a scrambler?). We’ll see the sportbike after those make it to market … maybe. It takes Norton a long, long time to get anything to market, and this will surely be no different.
