Jack Miller signs with Pramac Ducati

Jack Miller now sits on 117 points in Moto3; closest competitor Roman Fenati has 110.

MotoGP’s Jack Miller has signed a contract to race with Pramac Ducati, starting in 2018.

Miller is currently racing with the Marc VDS Honda satellite team. But at this point, his options there were limited (Honda opted not to sign him again), and he’s moving on, signing directly with Ducati to race as Danilo Petrucci’s teammate for next year. He’s replacing Scott Redding, whose next move is still a mystery.

The contract is only a one-year deal.

Miller was a hotshot in Moto3, and was quickly moved to the MotoGP class as Honda hoped to emulate their earlier success with Marq Marquez. Miller hasn’t been anywhere near as succesful as Marquez, only earning one win in MotoGP, at Assen last year. This year, he’s currently in 12th place, with his best result a 6th.
