Last weekend while managing editor Zac Kurylyk was at the Canadian Superbike double-header at Shubenacadie, he bumped into Dale Murray, a familiar face from the Fundy Adventure Rally.
Here are some of Dale’s shots from the races, mostly from the Turn 1-4 area, which is one of the best spots to sit at the Atlantic Canadian track if you want to take photos; the grandstand behind Turn 4 is the only seating that offers shade in Shubenacadie’s mid-summer heat.
You can read the CSBK write-up for the races here.

Pro Sport Bike, Saturday’s race. Frank Trombino, pictured here, absolutely ran away with the race, but had a horrible crack-up in Sunday’s race. Photo: Dale Murray
The Ninja 300 riders (seen here in Race 2) were also able to compete against local fast guys in the regional invitational series; their Kawis didn’t fare as well in the mixed-make matchup, where a local rider on a Yamaha R3 was laying down laps close to Amateur Sport Bike times. Photo: Dale Murray

Bodhi Edie, the only man to win besides Jordan Szoke for a very long time, wasn’t able to replicate his success at Grand Bend. Photo: Dale Murray
Local boy Jacob Shaw-O’Leary earned a third and fourth in Pro Sport Bike and in Pro Superbike, he took his CBR600RR to an eighth and ninth. Photo: Dale Murray
Jordan Szoke’s dominance in CSBK means he’s always in the running not just for that title, but also the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy. But, it takes some of the thrill out of the race when you know who’s going to win almost every weekend. Photo: Dale Murray
Kenny Riedmann (seen here in Pro Superbike Race 2) still can’t beat Szoke at Shubie, but neither can anyone else. Photo: Dale Murray
The start of Pro Superbike Race 2. This is the closest anyone came to Szoke all day, as he quickly built up a huge lead at the front. The only way anyone would have gotten past him is if disaster struck. Photo: Dale Murray
The battle between Card and Casas went on all weekend, and made Pro Sport Bike the most interesting class to watch. Photo: Dale Murray
The Pro Sport Bike pack hits Shubenacadie’s Turn 3. In his first race here on the weekend, Mitch Card high-sided and gave up second place to Tomas Casas. Photo: Dale Murray

In Pro Sport Bike’s second race, the battle between Tomas Casas (leading here) and Mitch Card was perhaps the day’s highlight. Photo: Dale Murray
