Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival announces judges

The Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival has announced the last two members of its judge panel, and they’re both motorcycles who should be very familiar to CMG readers.

One of the last two judges named is Warren Milner, former head of Honda Canada’s marketing department and the winner of the 1982 Canadian 600 roadracing series. Warren’s one of the most knowledgeable motorcyclists in the country, as well as one of the most dedicated, and he’s penned a few pieces for CMG in the past, as well as assisting at the Fundy Adventure Rally.

The other recently-announced addition to the judging panel is professional photographer Bill Petro. Bill’s also a committed motorcyclist, and he’s taken many of the photos for launch stories that have run in CMG over the years. He’s also a Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame Award Winner.

The Festival also announced judges Preet Banerjee and Viktor Radic; together with Petro and Milner, they’ll select the winners of the Best Short Film and Best Feature Film awards, while the audience will vote for the People’s Choice Award.

The Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival will run September 29-30 at the Revue Cinema, showing motorcycle films from around the world, showing movies with fictional plots as well as as factual documentaries. The Festival is open for submissions; take a peek at its website here for more details. The final lineup will be announced on the Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival website on August 4.
