CMG Pub Night at Toronto Motorcycle Show!

CMG Pub Night

We’re having a CMG Pub Night on the first evening of the Toronto Motorcycle Show, with the writers, editors, and other staffers attending — if you’re in the area, we hope to see you there!

CMG has reserved some space at our favourite spot, the Bull & Firkin, starting at 7 PM on Friday, February 17.  The faithful probably already know how to find the place, but if not, the Bull & Firkin is at 1835 Yonge St., in Davisville, just south of the Davisville subway station.

There’s no secret handshake at the door, and no code word; just head to the back of the pub, and we’ll be upstairs in the pool room area. See you there!

  1. I can’t believe it’s been 9 months since that Pub Night in May last year where we raised a glass (or three) to the memory of the first Le Grande Fromage, Editor “arris.

My plan for next Friday is to take the GO Train to the Toronto Motorcycle Show in the afternoon, hang around for a while and then get the subway to the Davisville Station. I’m looking forward to seeing Mark aka Le Grande Fromage II, larry and the other assorted CMG riff raff and miscreants (i.e., the remaining writers, editors and staffers) that might get through the door of the Bull & Firkin and stumble upstairs to the second floor, as well anyone else that peruses the CMG Soapbox from time to time.

  2. I’ll be in Toronto. But only briefly, connecting from Thunder Bay, and catching a flight to Cancun. Would love to come out to this kind of gathering and meet everyone at some point. Hope everyone has a great time.

    • Hang on – If you’d turn up at the pub and say “Hello! I’m about to fly off to Cancun!” I’m not sure there’d be too many people ready to buy you drinks, even after that excellent Yamaha review. You just might get tied up in the toilet with duct tape until after your flight leaves.
However, turning up at the pub and saying “Hello! My vacation in Cancun is over and off home now to Thunder Bay for the next few miserable months!” would be fine. I’d buy you a drink myself.

      • O.K. Mark I truly laughed out loud at your comment. Your humour is much appreciated. Another reason why I’d have fun at this gathering! 🙂 I’m still laughing….

  3. I’ll try to make it, no promises as I’m in town for a thing with my wife’s family. On second thought, I’m almost certain to be there … 🙂
