Christini takes the snow bike concept to the next level

Christini, purveyors of fine two-wheel-drive motorcycles, are taking snow bikes to the next level.

You probably haven’t ridden a snow bike yet, but they’re growing in popularity, as more and more motorcyclists decide they want to use their bikes year-round. But previous models have always been powered by a single track, since the vast majority of motorcycles are rear-wheel-drive only.

Not Christini! The Pennsylvania-based company has been making 2WD motorcycle for several years now, supplying militaries and other buyers around the world. And now, Christini is putting together a 2WD track kit.

There’s no word on the cost of the kit yet, and it isn’t a universal fit — it would have to be bolted to one of Christini’s existing 2WD models (not easily available in Canada, although we have heard of a couple floating around). And, Christini hasn’t developed its own rear track kit, so you’d have to source one of those for the bike too. When all’s said and done, it would be far cheaper to go out and buy a second-hand snowmobile.

However, for some people, the II-Track system (as Christini officially calls it) will be exactly what they’re looking for. If that’s you, you can find more details on the system here.
