KTM has launched a website teasing new additions to the Duke lineup, to be unveiled next week.
While the site’s short video doesn’t give away many details (we’ve included a YouTube rip above), it’s not a surprising to hear KTM is working on new street bikes — we’ve known about that for some time, and it’s likely they’ll have the parallel twin engine that Team Orange has been developing for a while — particularly since single-cylinder platforms have fallen on hard times, mostly due to changing emissions laws.
But by the sound of the site, we’ve got multiple Dukes coming. Does that mean multiple versions of the new parallel twin platform, or changes to the 690 or 390 platforms as well? We’ll know more next week …
The KTM 390 street singles are made in India and in some areas ..it shows. If the new bikes coming are from Austria and are available with hard luggage, then I would be very interested.
They obviously need something between the 690 and the bigger Dukes, something more affordable than the big Dukes
There are rumors of a new inline twin around 800cc. I’m curious to see what their new instrument cluster and controls will be like, current one is a bit clumsy
