Intermot: Kawasaki updates H2, H2R, introduces H2 Carbon

Kawasaki’s H2 and H2R hyperbikes appeared in updated form today at Intermot, as well as a new version, dubbed the H2 Carbon (pictured).

As arguably the world’s looniest open-class street bike, the supercharged H2R still has no peers, yet Kawasaki announced several upgrades to the machine, including updated electronics (including leaning ABS), and new rear suspension (TTX shock courtesy of Ohlins).

The updated electronics system also included a new quickshifter (with auto-blip function, for downshift) and instruments displaying and recording lean angles.

The H2 also gets a new exhaust system to make it Euro4 compliant, as that’s the world we live in now. The H2 Carbon would presumably get that same exhaust on top of its carbon-fibre fairing; that fairing can also be purchased and fit to the other H2 models. Only 120 H2R Carbon models will be made, but anyone with the cash can outfit their H2 to look the same.
