Filmmaker Youssef Berrouard is making the rounds in Quebec screening his latest work, featuring the Quebecois custom scene.
There’s only one problem: It’s in French, so it might be a bit tricky for an Anglo to appreciate it.
Titled Vagabonds sur Deux Roues (Vagabonds on Two Wheels), the film looks at Quebec’s bobbers, scramblers, cafe racers, and similar customs, along with the motorcyclists who build them. The movie offers up six portraits, featuring builders like Hardcore, Clockwork and Speedbird. La Presse says Berrouard has already screened it in Saguenay and Montreal, and is planning to show it at Montreal’s Taverne Cobra on Saint-Laurent Boulevard this week (May 5). After a few other showings, he plans to stream the film online.
