Yamaha debuted their new 04GEN scooter concept at the Vietnam Motorcycle Show today, with see-through bodywork.
Translucent body panels haven’t really featured prominently in the motorcycle world, particularly since the failure of the BMW F650CS (aka the Scarver). But Yamaha’s brought them back with the 04GEN. Think of it as a slightly more modest design philosophy than the bare-it-all ethos of the Honda Ruckus. This step-through is also see-through, but it’s not as rugged as Big Red’s long-time classic; instead, it looks almost like a modernized Vespa 946.
