Starting Friday, the Motorcycle & Powersport Atlantic show runs in Halifax, giving the Maritimes their second motorcycle show of the season.
While the majority of Canadian shows are run by the MMIC, this show isn’t, so the lineup is a bit different. The Honda Junior Red Riders program will attend, giving kids a chance to try out dirt bikes. A group of custom motorcycle builders will be doing demos, and the Stunt 902 crew will be showing off their skills as well.
Of course, the show will also have displays from motorcycle and aftermarket manufacturers (the show website says KTM/Husqvarna, Indian/Victory, Harley-Davidson, Honda, BMW, MV Agusta, Yamaha, Ducati, Suzuki, Arctic Cat, and Kawasaki will all be there). There will also be reps from clubs and rallies, along with displays of vintage and race bikes.
The show doors open tomorrow (Friday) at noon, and close at 9 PM. The show is open 9 AM-7PM Saturday and 10 AM-5 PM Sunday. The show is running at the Halifax Exhibition Centre. Admission is $13 for adults, $8 for juniors (10-16), and children under 10 get in for free. As well, weekend passes are available for $20.
The forecast I heard was midnight tonight, and tomorrow
Is Kawasaki Canada present or Freedom Cycle?
Angela Fraser-Low you need to check this out for me and give me the scoop lol
On it! Going tmw actually haha
See if there’s anything interesting and new in KTM Canada’s Adventure and Motard lineups please haha I want an Adventure R this summer in a bad way.
Will do!
Will CMG be on Site?
I will be in the US, but maybe Rob Harris?
I might be there – just trying to figure the timing and not get caught in the storm that looks like it’s coming in Saturday night. Looking at Sunday at this point. /’Arris
Its a mere dusting…for Halifax.
Moved from Markham in November. Area is pretty sparse for whatever…figure, golden horseshoe – 8 to 10 million people…all of Nova scotia (including the fish) less than 1,000,000 folks of whom 10% are seniors. There are a few bike dealers… as few as Chinese restaurants! if you’re from Markham, don’t expect to fine a GPS motorsports outlet or a decent Chinese restaurant…. just sayin’
You checking this out Andy Leeman?
Oh man, that would be cool
Be there weather permitting
It is too bad the weather might be very bad for the show, especially in Hfx.
Calgary to Edmonton to Vancouver to Quebec City to Moncton to Toronto to Montreal to Halifax – I’m not seeing a west to east trend here, wonder why ? It seems like a lot of needless travelling and gas wasted…?
The Halifax show is their own thing, done by Master Promotions, not MMIC — it’s actually run even closer to spring, before. As for the MMIC shows, well, you’d have to ask them … Im sure it has to do with things like arena and centre schedules.
