Ninja 300 series still a go

We were hoping that all the details of the promised Ninja 300 spec series would be out by now but according to Brad Goodbody at Kawasaki Canada, although the series will definitely be part of the 2016 and 2017 CSBK rounds, they are still working out the last few details, specifically on how best to utilise the 20 race prepped Ninjas they have from last year.

Goodbody also confirmed that the specs outlined to date are good (see here) but was not able to confirm when everything would be finalized.

For now, if you’re interested in partaking in the series, it’s on a “save the date” basis (CSBK released the venues and dates for 2016 yesterday), but it needs to be done soon or Kawasaki risk losing a large chunk of the potential grid to other classes/activities.

Thinking of being a part of the new Ninja 300 series? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

  1. Several new tracks are popping up in the West. Fingers crossed there’s a Western Ninja 300 Series. My 300 is an absolute riot on track. So much fun!

    • But the potential liability of a rental is, as I understand it, the cause of the delay in having a program rolled out by now.

At some point, if the rental program isn’t going to get signed off at the corporate level, Kawasaki needs to get those existing bikes into the hands of potential racers by selling them or at least launch a program to support racers’ builds.

Potential racers are making plans and they may be committing resources to other causes, brands etc.

  2. I would be interested in purchasing or renting (like an arrive and ride program) one of the prepped bikes from last year. I think this would be great competition.

  3. I would like to run the 300 at a couple of the rounds. I’m hoping that Kawasaki will be able to rent some of the bikes if they can’t sell all of them. But they better hurry up and get the details out or I will have put my money into my lost era 600 for the R.A.C.E. superseries.
