360-degree video: MotoGP vs. Honda hot rods

This isn’t a super-long video, and doesn’t really showcase any ridiculous bike skills. At it’s core, it’s just Jack Miller on a RC213V riding on a wet track along with a Honda Civic Type R and a Castrol Honda Touring Car.

However, it’s an interesting display of 360-degree video technology that’s starting to pop up on YouTube, and we wonder: Is this the future of motorsports broadcasting? Pair this technology with an Oculus virtual reality system, and you’ve got a breakthrough, providing an immersive experience that just stops short of sitting in the cockpit.

As for the video: Just click on the picture, and drag it around. You should be able to see in true 360 degrees.
