Ducati re-launches Multistrada Link app

Ducati has unveiled the latest version of its Multistrada Link app, giving Multistrada 1200S owners access to their ride telemetry.

The Multistrada Link app, offering Bluetooth integration with your 2015 Multistrada, was promised months ago, but when it was first delivered, not all owners were happy with it. According to the perennially peeved denizens of online forums, “that app was never going to become a useful app, all it did was show Duc adverts.” They waited for the real deal, an app that would provide information on lean angles, horsepower output, rpm, fuel consumption, and so on. Now that app is here.

Now, Multi owners have access to the sort of technology that, only a few short years ago, was the stuff of science fiction — and it’s available for free. Of course, you do have to buy the bike first.

Not only will the app record your data, you can also use it to share those details via Ducati.com, integrating photos from your phone as well — just be careful Big Brother doesn’t use it to convict you in traffic court.

For now, the app is available at the iTunes store, for iOS devices, but it will be available soon for Android devices. If anyone downloads it, and is able to put it to good use, please let us know how it works for you. We aren’t likely to be aboard a Multi anytime soon ourselves, but we’d like to know how well this new tech integrates with your bike, and if you are able to improve your riding as a result of using it.
